Ocean Song Workshop April 11th at the Polar Museum

Be a part of the Museum of Zoology!

We are excited to be back at the Polar Museum on Saturday April 11th from 1.30pm-3pm for a second public Ocean Song workshop. Join us and choir leader Rowena Whitehead as we explore the sounds of the sea. The world’s oceans are far from silent. At this workshop you can discover the noisy creatures that live beneath the ocean surface and the importance of sound in their watery world. Then we want you to help us to create our Ocean Song sound installation for the new whale hall currently being built for the Museum. With Rowena Whitehead we will be exploring our own voices and creating the sounds of the sea here in Cambridge to record as part of the installation. This fun and interactive workshop is free and is suitable for ages 8 and above (all children must be accompanied by an adult). Everyone is welcome – we want to collect as many voices from Cambridge and beyond as we can!

We look forward to seeing you there!
