Ocean Song on the road to … Pevensey

We are really excited to be taking the Ocean Song Project to Pevensey, Sussex. It was on the evening of November 13th 1865 that our Finback Whale washed ashore at Normans Bay, Pevensey. We will be at Norman’s Bay collecting sounds of the sea with our sound recordist Chris Watson on the morning of Sunday August 23rd. Places for this will be limited, information on times and meeting points and how to book will be available soon. Watch this space! But bookings are now open for the workshop in the afternoon with Chris and our choir leader Rowena Whitehead, exploring ocean sounds and collecting voices of the community where the whale is from. This workshop is taking place at St Nicolas’ Church in Pevensey from 3pm-5pm. We want to raise the roof with the sounds and songs of the sea, so do come and join us and add your voice to the soundscape!
